Description

The Moxa MGate MB3480 is a 4-port Modbus TCP gateway that converts between Modbus TCP and Modbus RTU/ASCII, letting serial slave devices on four software-selectable RS-232/422/485 ports join an existing Ethernet Modbus network. It manages up to 124 serial slave nodes, with one 10/100BaseT(X) Ethernet port and support for both Modbus TCP Client (Master) and Server (Slave) operation.

Each serial port can be configured individually for Modbus RTU or ASCII and different baud rates up to 921.6 kbps. Auto Device Routing, routing by TCP port or IP address, and configuration through a web console, Device Search Utility, MGate Manager or Telnet simplify deployment. The metal IP30 housing runs from a 12 to 48 VDC supply and suits panel or cabinet installation.
