Description

The Moxa MGate MB3170I-M-SC is a 1-port Modbus TCP gateway that connects serial Modbus RTU/ASCII devices to Ethernet networks over a 100BaseF(X) multi-mode fibre port with an SC connector. It provides 2 kV isolation and operates from 0 to 60°C, making it suited to electrically noisy plant floors and installations where fibre runs are preferred over copper.

As part of the MGate MB3170/MB3270 range, this advanced Modbus gateway supports multi-master and multi-connection operation, allowing several Modbus TCP clients to communicate with serial slave devices. It mounts on a DIN rail or panel and accepts a 12 to 48 VDC power input via a 7-pin terminal block.
