Description

The Moxa MGate MB3170-S-SC is a 1-port advanced Modbus gateway that converts between Modbus TCP and Modbus RTU/ASCII, connecting serial devices to Ethernet networks. This variant adds a 100BaseFX single-mode fibre port with an SC connector, suited to long-distance or electrically noisy runs, and operates across 0 to 60°C with a non-isolated RS-232/422/485 serial port.

The gateway supports up to 32 Modbus TCP client and 32 server connections, with Auto Device Routing, routing by TCP port or IP address, and embedded Modbus traffic monitoring for faster troubleshooting. Two RJ45 Ethernet ports provide built-in cascading, and the DIN-rail mountable IP30 housing accepts 12 to 48 VDC power.
