Description

The MGate MB3170-M-SC-T is a 1-port advanced Modbus TCP gateway that converts between Modbus TCP and Modbus RTU/ASCII for industrial networks. It features a 100BaseFX multi-mode fibre port with an SC connector for noise-immune, long-distance Ethernet links, a software-selectable RS-232/422/485 serial port, and an extended -40 to 75°C operating temperature range.

Two Ethernet ports allow daisy-chain (cascade) wiring on a single IP address, and the gateway supports up to 32 client and 32 server connections. Security functions include HTTPS (TLS 1.2), SNMPv3 and AES encryption, while hazardous location approvals (ATEX, Class I Division 2, IECEx) and DNV maritime certification suit demanding industrial environments.
