Description

The Moxa MGate 5109 is a 1-port industrial Modbus to DNP3 gateway that converts between Modbus RTU/ASCII/TCP and DNP3 serial/TCP/UDP. It supports both master/client and slave/server roles on the Modbus side and master and outstation (Level 2) roles on the DNP3 side, making it well suited to power, oil and gas, and water applications. This standard temperature model operates from 0 to 60°C.

The gateway offers one RS-232/422/485 serial port with 2 kV isolation and two 10/100BaseT(X) Ethernet ports with built-in cascading for simple daisy-chain wiring. A rugged IP30 metal housing with DIN-rail mounting, redundant 12 to 48 VDC power inputs and a relay output make it suitable for control cabinet installation. A microSD slot supports configuration backup and event logs, and HTTPS and SSH provide encrypted management.
