Description

The ICF-1280I-S-ST is an industrial PROFIBUS-to-fibre converter with two single-mode ST fibre ports and a DB9 female PROFIBUS DP port. It extends PROFIBUS transmission up to 45 km over single-mode fibre at 1310 nm, with auto baudrate detection from 9600 bps up to 12 Mbps. Built-in 2 kV galvanic isolation protects connected equipment, and the unit operates across a 0 to 60°C temperature range.

A redundant fibre ring provides zero recovery time, while Remote Fibre Diagnosis lets you examine network-wide fibre communication from a single converter. PROFIBUS fail-safe prevents corrupted datagrams in functioning segments, a relay output provides alarm signalling, and dual 12 to 48 VDC power inputs support redundant power feeds.
