Description

The ICF-1180I-S-ST is an industrial PROFIBUS-to-fiber converter that carries PROFIBUS DP signals from a copper DB9 port over single-mode fibre with an ST connector. It extends PROFIBUS transmission distance up to 45 km, auto-detects baudrate from 9600 bps up to 12 Mbps, and operates across a 0 to 60°C temperature range.

Built-in 2 kV galvanic isolation, dual 12 to 48 VDC power inputs with reverse power protection, and a relay output for warnings and alerts make it well suited to fieldbus runs through electrically noisy plant environments. The IP30 metal housing mounts on a DIN rail (with the optional kit) or on a wall, and fibre test and signal intensity diagnosis functions help validate and monitor the optical link.
