Description

The Moxa ICF-1150-S-ST-T-IEX is an industrial RS-232/422/485 to single-mode fibre converter with an ST fibre connector, built for long-distance serial transmission in harsh environments. It is IECEx certified for hazardous locations and rated for operation from -40 to 85°C, making it suited to oil and gas, mining, and process automation sites where serial links must run over fibre.

The converter supports baudrates from 50 bps to 921.6 kbps, including non-standard rates, and uses automatic data direction control (ADDC) for RS-485 so no additional flow control wiring is required. Serial connections are made through a 5-pin terminal block (non-isolated), and the ICF-1150 series design extends serial networks beyond the distance limits of copper cabling.
