Description

The Moxa MGate MB3170-IEX is a 1-port advanced Modbus gateway that converts between Modbus TCP, Modbus RTU and Modbus ASCII, allowing TCP masters to communicate with serial slave devices (and serial masters with TCP slaves) without changing the existing serial network or software. This -IEX variant is IECEx and ATEX Zone 2 certified, making it suited to hazardous-location deployments in process, oil and gas, and industrial automation environments.

Built for continuous industrial operation, the gateway offers redundant 12-48 VDC power inputs, a relay output for fault warnings, built-in optical isolation and cascading Ethernet ports for simple wiring. A priority control feature ensures urgent commands receive an immediate response, and the rugged housing mounts on a DIN rail or wall.
