Description

The MGate MB3170 is a 1-port Modbus TCP gateway that converts between Modbus TCP, ASCII and RTU, linking serial Modbus devices to Ethernet networks. This version has one RS-232/422/485 serial port and two RJ45 10/100 Ethernet ports with built-in cascading, no serial isolation, and an operating range of 0 to 60°C. It connects up to 32 Modbus TCP servers, can be accessed by up to 32 Modbus TCP clients, and supports up to 31 Modbus RTU/ASCII slaves.

Auto Device Routing, routing by TCP port or IP address, and priority control for urgent commands simplify deployment. Embedded Modbus traffic monitoring assists troubleshooting, and serial and Ethernet masters can connect at the same time to serial Modbus devices. The compact IP30 plastic housing runs from a 12 to 48 VDC supply.
